♥ two MME tutorials ♥

good afternoon.  i had to change my "greeting" as i didn't get a chance to actually post this tutorial this morning.  i am sorry for the delay, i have one kiddo home not feeling well and i was on mommy-care.  he's resting comfortably now and hopefully i can get this posted before he wakes up.

today is my "official" first post up on the MME blog.  i was asked to share my cards, individually, and i have received several questions about the burlap heart that i thought it might help a little to put together a 5-step tutorial so you can get a "visual" of what i have tried to describe.

since i created a new burlap heart for the 5-step tutorial, i decided to go ahead and create a second part tutorial using the new burlap heart and the new MME Indie Chic--Nutmeg line of papers and embellies to create an any-occasion card for a family member

here is a 4-step tutorial to embellish the burlap heart created in

i used the paper, shown below, to begin layering and embellishing the burlap heart
(please click pics to see the tutorial images and instructions up-close)

i hope the tutorial helps to "visualize" what i have been trying to describe.  i would love to see your embellished burlap hearts if you decide to give on a try.

thank you for all your sweet notes about the cards and the heart, each one has {hugged} my heart.

hugs & so much love♥

♥ pinch me kind of news to share ♥

good morning.
today, i have the most amazing privilege of sharing with you the news that i have been asked to join the design team over at My Mind's Eye.  i am beyond honored and thrilled for this incredible opportunity and blessing.  i absolutely love their products from the rich colors to the amazing brads, the lines make me swoon and i create with their products until the very last "scrap" has a home.  i thank everyone at MME for this opportunity.  i look forward to creating with such an amazing and inspiring team and look forward to sharing with you my love of their gorgeous products.
i am blessed and oh so thankful.

i was so happy to receive the most amazing box of all the newest lines being released now.
Indie Chic, On the Sunny Side, and Nostalgia  are classic MME, rich colors, gorgeous patterns, incredible embellies and oh so versatile.

it was really hard to decide which lines to share with you today, so i decided since this is a very "sunny" day for me, i would start with On the Sunny Side.  this line has gorgeous blues, reds, oranges and the cuuuutest layered stickers and chipboard embellies.  i had so much fun dressing up the chipboard and layered embellies and it will be so much fun for summer.  i have a TON of ideas for this line and know you will too, it's happy, it's summery, it's perfect♥

i punched circles from this paper

and gave them dimension by adhering them using 3-D tape

Indie Chic is absolutely GORGEOUS and there are no pictures that could truly do it justice.  the colors are so rich and so beautiful and all the embellishments make me so happy, from the fun banners to the buttons and brads, it makes creating so, so much fun.

the minute i opened the dt box, the ideas were flowing, and i can not wait to fill this blog with lots of cards and creations using these lines.  the first pack i decided to work with was the Indie Chic Nutmeg papers and embellies.  This is technically a more masculine line with the embellies and such but i loved the colors too much to stick with a masculine theme, these papers are so versatile and gorgeous on their own that i played with some feminine-themed cards.

i cut the beautiful roses from this paper and layered them with 3-D tape (i looove this paper)

thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me share with you, for your sweet comments, friendship and shared inspiration♥
hugs and love
